Grace Oni Smith is a trans musician and performance artist currently based in Manchester. Smith's work often centres around themes of the identity and politics of the trans body; over the last decade she has explored these themes through multiple disciplines, straddling the intersections of drag, cabaret and burlesque, being a prominent feature in queer nightlife. Recently, Grace has pushed her craft further into a more aggresive and unyielding aproach to self expression and uses her surgically altered trans body to uncompromisingly rip the lid off of the trans experience. Grace has most recently been working on electronic music with Manchester based queer producer Brett Denning and collaborating with fellow queer artist Beau Blonde, creating intimate and transgressive images of the queer experience.
